To become a Diversional Therapist you will need to complete one of the following courses which will give you a qualification in Diversional Therapy. Completing one of the courses listed below would ensure your qualification is recognized in all States as a Level 1 member, providing you with the opportunity to work as a DT Australia wide.

Level 1 (Full)People who wish to work as a DT in Disabilities, Mental Health, Community, Home & Respite Services and especially in Residential Aged Care. Would be eligible to join as a level 1 member after having acquired one of the following qualifications: |
Bachelor of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy)
Bachelor of Applied Science (Leisure & Health)
Bachelor of Applied Science (Therapeutic Recreation)
Bachelor of Health Science (Leisure & Health)
Associate Degree of Social Science (Aged Care)
Diploma of Health Science (Leisure & Health)
Diploma of Diversional Therapy
Diploma of Arts ( Aged Care)
Level 2People who wish to work as a DT in areas outside of Residential Aged Care eg Community, Respite, disabilities, mental health and In Home services. Would be eligible to join as a level 2 member after having acquired the following qualification:
People who wish to work as a Diversional Therapy Assistant or Activities Officer in any area would also be eligible to join as a Level 2 member after having acquired the following qualifications:

Level 3 (Student)Any student enrolled in one of the courses mentioned above is eligible to join as a Level 3 member.
